Clinical Nutrition Consultations
Your initial consultation will take between 60 – 90 minutes, during this consultation we take a full health history and write a referral for required pathology by our in-house doctor.
Our comprehensive consultation process focuses on identifying the root causes of your health concerns and providing continuing education to help you make lifestyle changes that promote lasting wellness. Rather than offering quick-fix band-aid solutions that often lead to recurring problems, we prioritise guiding you through a series of consultations to facilitate positive changes that are realistic and sustainable for your lifestyle. FAQ's
What is a clinical Nutritionist?
A clinical nutritionist is a qualified allied health professional who specialises in the science of nutrition and its impact on overall health and well-being. Unlike general nutritionists, clinical nutritionists focus on using evidence-based dietary interventions to manage and prevent a wide range of health conditions. They work closely with clients to develop personalised nutrition plans that address specific health issues such as digestive disorders, chronic illness, food sensitivities, and more. By considering the unique needs of each individual, a clinical nutritionist provides tailored advice to support optimal health, recovery, and long-term wellness.
What health funds cover nutrition?
Clinical nutrition is a recognised allied health profession, meaning it plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare system alongside other health professionals. Clinical nutritionists are trained to provide evidence-based dietary advice and interventions to manage and improve a variety of health conditions. As a recognised allied health provider, clinical nutrition services are covered by many private health funds, making it easier for clients to access and benefit from personalised, expert nutrition care. Check with your health fund to see if you’re eligible for rebates on our services.
How much are the consultations?
The cost of a clinical nutrition consultation varies based on the type and level of support you need. We offer a range of options to suit different health goals, from one-time consultations focused on specific concerns to comprehensive packages that include ongoing support, personalised meal plans, and regular follow-ups. Our customised packages are designed to provide you with the most effective, tailored care, ensuring you receive the guidance and tools necessary to achieve your long-term health goals. Whether you need a single session or a more in-depth, ongoing program, we have flexible options to meet your needs.
What is trauma informed nutrition?
Trauma-informed nutrition is a specialised approach that recognises the profound impact of trauma on an individual’s relationship with food, body, and overall health. This approach goes beyond traditional dietary advice by considering the psychological, emotional, and physiological effects of trauma when creating nutrition plans. A trauma-informed nutritionist takes into account how past experiences may influence eating patterns, digestion, and food choices, providing compassionate, individualised care that supports both healing and recovery.
